How to Order Prescription Eyeglasses
Frame Boutique strives to be a one-stop shop for all your eye care needs. Along with contact lenses and eye care accessories, you can now purchase your prescription eyeglasses through Frame Boutique. To make your eyeglass purchase quick and easy we've designed a simple hassle free step-by-step process.
Step 1 - Browse Our Extensive Eyeglass Catalog
Click the Eyeglasses button in the top navigation bar to go to the eyeglass section of our site. Then select the type of eyeglasses you are looking for: Men's, Women's or Kid's. From there you can filter through our eyeglasses catalog by Color, Brand, Frame Type, Frame Shape, Face Shape, Frame Style and Frame Material.
Step 2 - Select the Correct Eyeglasses for You
Click on a pair of eyeglasses to go to the product page and view the frames and see more information on them. Our eyeglasses product page offers the ability get up-close and personal with the glasses by allowing you to zoom in and rotate the frames 360 degrees. The page also provides a list of similar frames along with our Virtual Try-On feature that allows you to upload a picture of yourself. If you currently wear glasses you'll want to compare your current glasses dimensions to the frames you are choosing. Once you've decided on a pair of glasses, click "Add Lenses". To purchase the frames only, you can click "Add Frame Only" this will bypass all of the following steps and allow you to purchase a pair of frames that your own eye doctor can add lenses to.
Step 3 - Select a Lens Type
You will be directed to our prescription eyeglasses wizard. First you'll want to select the type of lenses you'll need for your eyeglasses. Visit our How to Read Your Eyeglasses Prescription page to learn whether your prescription is for Single Vision or Progressive Bifocal lenses. Once you've selected your lens type, click the arrow button on the right that says "Next".
Step 4 - Enter Your Prescription Information
If you have your eyeglass prescription handy, you can enter your prescription here. If you don't know your prescription, want to fax or e-mail in a copy of your prescription or aren't sure how to read your prescription you can click "I don't know my prescription" or leave all the boxes blank; we'll collect your doctor's information during checkout to obtain and/or confirm your prescription for you. Once you've made your entries and selections, click the arrow button on the right that says "Next".
Step 5 - Select a Lens Package or Material
Frame Boutique makes ordering prescription eyeglasses easy by taking out the guesswork and providing you with our pre-made specialty Lens Packages which we've created to tailor to the most common prescription eyeglass needs.
Or if you would like to create your own custom lenses you can click on the Custom Selections tab and select one of our available lens materials.
Once you've made your selection, click the arrow button on the right that says "Next".
Step 6 - Add Lens Coatings and Treatments
If you selected one of our specialty lens packages then you won't see this step, otherwise if you opted for a Custom Selection and chose a lens material you'll be directed to this page to select the types of coating you want on your lenses. Some lens coatings and/or treatments are added free of charge based on the type of lens material you selected. You can choose additional coatings and hover over the selections for more information. Once you've made your selection, click the arrow button on the right that says "Next".
Step 7 - Review Your Eyeglass Package and Add it to Your Cart
You'll get the chance to review your selections prior to adding them to your cart. You can click the arrow button on the left that says "Back" if you need to make changes. Once you've happy with your package you can add the package to your cart by clicking the "Add to Cart" button below the total price, or the arrow button on the right.
